A new design for an exciting future
EUHA in Hannover was a particularly exciting event for us this year as our booth introduced the new Detax branding, with fresh colors, clear white spaces and a new font concept. “Detax turned 70 in 2024 and we are proud to celebrate our successful history with a new appearance”, says Dr. Sönke Rössing, new CEO of Detax. “Our new branding reflects our attitude towards the future: Clear, focused and looking forward to the many opportunities that lie ahead.”
New contacts, familiar faces and lots of positive feedback
The modern booth generated many new contacts from visitors who came along for a chat and a snack with our staff at the popular dx deli, while many familiar guests showed up to catch up with the latest news and explore our new appearance. “The feedback was very positive”, recalls Thorsten Preiss, Managing Director and CFO at Detax. “Our new branding came as a surprise to visitors who knew Detax for a long time, some of whom we have been working with for decades. They loved our new design language and found it totally appropriate as an expression of our attitude towards our future.”
Product in focus: A revolution in the manufacturing of earmolds with detax cast
The new packaging drew a lot of attention, too, like the redesigned bottles of one of our most successful products. The black bottle is wrapped in a label that features the new brand language: Over a bionic shape in a transparent mint floats a white space with rounded corner and the product name, cast 2.0. “You may well say that detax cast revolutionized the process of manufacturing silicone earmolds with 3D printing”, says Sönke. “It is one of our best selling products for a reason.” Cast 2.0 is a formulation for 3D printing cast forms for silicone moulds, and unlike forms printed with other plastics, the form can be removed without pliers once the silicone has set. “The cast consists of a very thin layer which is quite brittle”, Sönke explains. “You can just break and crumble it with your fingers and it will peel off right away. This cuts the process of building the mould short by some 25 percent. If you do that many times all month, it adds up to a lot.”
